Francesca Lancisi

I would like to present the Italian artist who will be on show at the next ide&oda exhibition between 22-28 April in the Old Town (Gallery Nest). I met Francesca Lancisi at a wedding in Florence and she told me she was an ex-teacher turned artist. Once at home, I checked out her website and fell immediately in love. Her fine, sensual watercolors are so beautiful - happy and melancholic at the same time. She manages to capture a colour or form for every mood and emotion.

I am also amazed and impressed how she builds her online presence with an Etsy shop, blog, newsletter while organizing real exhibitions and, at the same time, being a full time mother!

See you there!

Neon Art

I have for a long time been dreaming of owning some neon art. It's so much fun: the light, the colours, the shapes, the statement, the words. Even my kids loved Dan Flavin at MAMCO:

A house full of paintings

"Yoga of Dressing" in the living room
"Fair Play" in the bedroom
"Master and Margarita" in the stair case

I had the pleasure to have the Nora Soos paintings for a short month in my house. It was fantastic! They will leave on Saturday to go back home so, few more days to check them out here or live at my house.

My favorite flowers

Today I received a bouquet of my favorite flowers from dear husband - pink peonies (I had to google the name). They are simply beautiful. And they fit well with the painting by Nora Soos "Every day meditation"(on sale until mid June).

Voyage Immobile

These amazing sculptures are made by my dearest artist friend JADE. I have known her (and her art of course) for 10 years and have admired her since. With every exhibition, with every piece she always has a new beautiful story to tell. If you want to see her art, she is having an exhibition in Evian at the Galerie29 until the 3rd of December (for more information, click on invitation above) . To discover more of her mystical world go to www.jadesculptures.fr

I promised more Swedish design...This white dream is the artist's Maria Moja Adlersson's summer house. I like her inventive paint jars installation the most.

I know most people come to admire the flower clock in Geneva, but I think this is definitely the coolest clock in town. Could I have a smaller version to take home please?

Very spontaneously I bought a similar Nordic vintage school map in December from Swedish Grandpa. Still trying to figure out how to get it to Geneva...

I'm sure you could not have missed Therese Sennerholt's graphics. My favorite is of course the chocolate one!

Louise Bourgoise: Part of her Extreme Tension exhibition at Pompidou in January. On one side it said: The Legs Thighs Ankles Toes; On the other side: THE pelvis bones The joints. I just love this drawing... a labyrinth of our inner parts.
